Eilish Wins The Top 4 Categories In The Music Grammy’s

It appears that the party is just getting started for the 18-year-old pop-star.

Last week at the Grammys 18 years old artist, Billie Eilish swept out four major categories and won an additional trophy.

It is the result of the rapidly increasing sensation of the pop star among the youth.

2019 has been an exceptional year for the singer. According to Billboard, Eilish’s catalog albums and songs sold 15,000 copies on January 26, which is a 109% increase compared to 7,000 copies sold on January 25th.

Her two albums, “When we fall asleep where you go?” And “Don’t smile at Me.” Sold more than 2000 copies as on January 26th, which was a 46% increase from the day before. Her songs download sales increased by 127%, rising to 13,000 from 6,000 the day before.

She made history by being the first-ever woman to sweep all the four top categories in the Grammy. She went home with the best new artist, a record of the year and song of the year for “Bad Guy” and her album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where do we go?” won album of the year.

As a cherry on top, she also won the best pop vocal album. Billie is only the second person to win all these awards in one night. The first person was Christopher Cross in 1981. She also became the youngest solo performer ever to win an album of the year.

Billie’s brother Finneas O’Connell won 6 Grammys and was the biggest winner of the night, followed by his sister with 5. Finneas co-wrote, produced, and engineered this album.

While giving his acceptance speech, Finneas said, “We didn’t write a speech for this because we didn’t make this album to win a Grammy. We didn’t think we would win anything ever. We wrote an album about depression and suicidal thoughts and climate change and being the bad guy – whatever that means – and we stand up here confused and grateful.”

Finneas won producer of the year (non-classical) and best engineered album (non-classical).

While giving her acceptance speech, Billie Eilish said, “This is my first Grammys. I never thought this would ever happen in my whole life.” She further added, “I genuinely wanna say how grateful I am, and I only wanna say that I’m grateful.”

“This is to all the kids who are making music in their bedrooms today -you’re going to get one of these.” Finneas further added.

The bedroom where they created magic was brought to life on stage when Billie and Finneas sang “When The Party’s Over, ” which featured Finneas on a Keys while Billie was singing in a soft and soothing tune with a mesmerizing ambiance.

The show, which took place at the staples center, which was Kobe Bryant’s old stomping ground, began with an emotional and touching performance by host Alicia Keys and Boys II Men on the song “It’s so hard to say Goodbye to Yesterday.”

“Los Angeles, America, and the whole wide world have lost a hero, ” Alicia Keys said, adding that the audience was “heartbroken in the house that Kobe Bryant built.”
